NFL: Designing a digital ecosystem so fans could take football anywhere.
In the early 2010s, the NFL's mobile and fantasy apps were still in their infancy. Both needed to evolve to support a growing wave of video, game-day content, and real-time stats, while NFL.com needed a design refresh that gave fans faster access to breaking news and quick mini-games to stay engaged between games.
Scaling the Fan Experience

I was hired as a Senior Designer and was ultimately promoted to Associate Creative Director. My work spanned updating key areas of NFL.com and redesigning the league's mobile applications to better align with fan needs and expectations. I also helped expand the NFL's digital ecosystem to Apple TV, Roku, and other connected devices, so fans could take football with them anywhere. Wherever fans were, football needed to be too.
“Wherever fans were, football needed to be too.”
Alongside product work, I designed for Emmy-nominated content like Freakonomics and My Cause My Cleats, a player-led initiative that shines a spotlight on nonprofits close to their hearts.
Designing across the NFL's mobile, web, and connected TV products meant building several intertwined experiences at scale, for one of the largest and most profitable sports businesses in the world. It was a crash course in balancing fan expectations, breaking content, and technical constraints across an entire digital ecosystem, all at once.
